Hi J., we have a another grandson:
W. R. LENZ . 4#,s 5ozs.
Mother and baby doing fine thus far. We thank God for this blessed event and seem to be out of :harms way". Thank you for your prayers and thoughts. Love P&B

06/11/07-Update--- Mom and baby W. are both home now! W. was discharged from the NICU today (Sunday) and continues to feed like a hungry little man! His weight is currently at 4 pounds 4.6 ounces and Mom is feeling a lot better. In fact, C. is able to ambulate and her vision has improved markedly. Check out the link below to see the official hospital photos of W.! Note: you don't need to order any becasue we already have some and will be mailing them this week.
We appreciate all the emails and all the gifts. H. really enjoyed his birthday party and is proud to be a big brother now! C.'s mom is here and helping out with H. and we look forward to Grandma & Grandpa's visit from Toledo in August (when we will need some big time help when W. starts requiring more feeds!)

We Have news!!!! P. and C. are now the proud parents of little
baby:( named after my Dad and C.,s Father) H. F. LENZ!!!!
Wouldn't Grama. Hoyt be proud about having a grandchild named after him>>>>> I
know he would.
C. had kind of a rough time 18 hours labor and had to have ceasarian
section . Little H. 4#s 12 ounces. P. said
Mommy and baby were doing well but tired out.

A new name to add to the Hoyt Family 6/3/06 HUGS!!!-----

C.'s doing well in the hospital this morning. She has developed pre-eclampsia, which can complicate the pregnancy. The good news is that her blood pressure and platelet count have both stabilized and she's feeling great and baby is also doing great.

P. and C. live in Winston-Salem N.C. where they have been doing
their 3 year residency at Wake Forrest Medical Center. Their residency ends
June 30 2006 C. almost made it....
Little H. F. was born at Forsythe Hospital--- Winston-Salem N. C. I
don't think I told you but P. is going to be Chief Resident--- July 1st.
for another year in N. C.

Dear Cousin J,

    I and the Hoyt family have really enjoyed looking at the web site you have created. The photos, the history and all the names you have connected
sure seem to make the family Come to Life!  It is such a convenient way to share memories, faces and details about all of us. Keep up the great work!
    And for the record...here is a brief history, self told.  For starters, being a sixth child I never got enough to eat! I had to plead and bang on
the table for my siblings to leave some scraps for me. Because of this I am the thinnest one in the family, (see various fam pictures above). To this
day I steal from or finish off others plates Thank You!
    After several moves (maybe evictions) we settled in TOLEDO Ohio? I grew up in the Old West End slum area, (also see picture) where I was forced
to sleep in the basement and then attic to provide my sisters and brothers with single deluxe accommodations. When the Navy offered me free room
and BOARD for enlisting out of high school I took it!? I joined the navy to see the world and eat! ...and lived on GUAM for three years? Then I was stationed in
San Diego in 1976 and yea, have been here ever since. I used the GI bill to obtain two degrees and a wife from San Diego State Univ. in 1980 and 1982.
BA in Psychology,  Masters in Business and a MRS in Laura Weiss Hoyt. All three were hard to get.
    L. is a California girl, six years younger, an interior designer, and a vegetarian. When asked why she married me? she said: because her mom
married an older man, from Ohio, who was in the military! (she is a lot fresher than I am). We have one son KJ (and various Labs) who is 10 years
old, 5'2" (see above) and who we think will top out around 6'6"......(.sorry A. H. hoyt and E. Weiss 6'4" and 6'5" respectfully) although he usually
only eats foods that start with a P.... pasta, potatoes, peas, pizza, and pancakes! ....a Petarian I guess? KJ has been taking piano 5yrs, karate 3yrs
and school  6yrs. We love him most of the time.
     I have had my own business since 1989. Tax and Financial Services in La Mesa Ca. just next to San Diego were we live.(see picture). Currently, L.
teaches Art at KJ's school and besides finances I volunteer with the church youth group, eat, and get lots of exercise.
    There! Now you John, the world wide web, and our great, great, great
grandkids will know a little bit more about us.....should they care?
